David E. Taylor is the head of Joshua Media Ministries International (JMMI), a global outreach movement committed to establishing God’s Kingdom through the proclamation and demonstration of the Gospel. Celebrating 30 years of ministry, David E. Taylor has made an indelible imprint throughout his community, the United States, and around the world. He is a strong advocate for the youth in this country, because of his experiences and life lessons.
In 1989 at the age of 17, David E. Taylor was living a worldly and gangster lifestyle on the streets of Memphis, when Jesus Christ first appeared to him in a dream during the Christmas Season. This experience changed his life forever! Just as Paul experienced a radical conversion, when he met Jesus on the road to Damascus, David E. Taylor was also radically converted when Jesus appeared to him! He immediately left the gang life he was living and began preaching about The Lord. His initial appearance from Jesus led to a face to face relationship and ministry that is detailed in the best-selling book, “Face to Face Appearances from Jesus: The Ultimate Intimacy.” Out of this face to face relationship, the global miracle and healing ministry was birthed, touching millions around the world.

The Move of Face to Face
Jesus first appeared face to face to David E. Taylor in a dream, when he was 17 years old while he was living a worldly life. Jesus revealed Himself as the Savior and the Son of God! The first appearance led to his salvation, much like Apostle Paul’s on the road to Damascus (Acts 9:1-9). Apostle Taylor fell in love with Jesus and radically pursued an intimate relationship with Him above all else. This intense pursuit has increased over the years, resulting in him experiencing regular face to face visitations from Jesus (many are detailed in his world-renown book, Face to Face Appearances from Jesus: The Ultimate Intimacy). Throughout his nearly 30 years of walking with the Lord, he has experienced the promise and covenant of appearances from Jesus in His Word, known as the “Love Covenant” found in John 14:21-21.
“He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him. Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world? Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” John 14:21-23
David E. Taylor was commissioned by Jesus to restored understanding of this covenant in the 21st century to the Body of Christ.
Out of this face to face relationship, the ancient message of God’s Kingdom, the one that Jesus taught His disciples 2,000 years ago, was birthed and demonstrated. Since then, mass healings, miracles, deliverance, and divine restoration takes place, including the dead being raised! A deep compassion and desire came over him for others. His prayer ever since has been for others to experience deep intimacy with the Lord. He prayed a prayer, asking the Lord that He would use His relationship with Him, to arrange a meeting between He and His people, that they too could meet Him face to face, just like he did as a young man. He asked the Lord for a “face to face” ministry! The Lord granted it to him! The face to face ministry is what Moses walked in on the earth. God has restored this ministry through David E. Taylor in our generation.

Everywhere the Lord sent him, Jesus began to appear to thousands in dreams, visions, and even in the physical realm. In 2008, Jesus appeared to him in a dream, and commanded him to write a book, promising him that it would shake the world. Jesus said, “I want you to write a book on face to face appearances, and show my people by Scripture how I did this throughout the Bible, and how I want all men to experience Me like this. Use your life as a testimony that this relationship is possible to have with Me in the 21st century. When you write this in a book, Me and My Father will appear before whole regions in America and the nation’s, and it will be captured on the news.” The Lord Jesus also further promised him, “I will draw near and appear to everyone who reads this book in dreams and visions.” It has begun! When the book was released, an outbreak of face to face visitations began! Millions are now experiencing intimacy with Jesus in their dreams and visions, resulting in the global salvation! People everywhere are giving their hearts completely to Jesus! This is happening in America and all around the world, just like Solomon experienced when the LORD appeared to him in a dream, “The LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream by night…” (1 Kings 3:4). Now, God is using this book as a tool to carry both His and His Son Jesus’ Words to highlight and restore the lost doctrine and New Testament promise of face to face intimacy that the church has overlooked for centuries!
“I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” – Jesus (John 14:18)
The Church has wrongly taught the message of seeing the Lord’s face by misinterpreting such scriptures like, “blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” (John 20:29) In the New Testament, Jesus confirmed that He appeared face to face after His resurrection. In this Scripture, Jesus was not discounting the importance of making appearances to His people, otherwise He wouldn’t have appeared to Paul after He made this statement. But rather, He was rebuking the unbelief in the disciple Thomas who had walked with him face to face for 3 and ½ years, and then had the audacity to challenge Him without faith.
Another Scripture that people take out of context is when Jesus said, “if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not..” (Matthew 24:23) In these Scriptures, Jesus was speaking about His second coming, and that before He comes, there will be many saying that He has already returned. This is not what David E. Taylor is proclaiming. Rather, He is preaching about the Biblical manifestation that adheres to the very foundation of our Christian faith. Jesus not only died, but He arose again, and He still appears to His people face to face today!
